The Operations Support Assistant plays an important role in supporting the smooth delivery of non-clinical operations within the Care Home. In this role, you will oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, proper storage and handling of materials, and the efficient movement of goods in and out of the store.

• Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery documents.
  • Manage the storing, picking, packing, and issuing of consumables and stock items to relevant departments, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock movements in the system promptly.
  • Conduct regular stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment to minimise stock shortages or excess inventory.
  • Ensure all materials are properly stored, clearly identified, systematically organised, and managed in accordance with FIFO/FEFO practices where applicable.
  • Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for the Care Home as required.
  • Perform Goods Receipt Note (GRN) processing upon receipt of suppliers’ Delivery Orders (DOs) and submit invoices for Centre Manager approval and payment processing.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper housekeeping of the store area.
  • Comply with company procedures and guidelines for inventory control and storage.
  • Support audits and stock checks as required.

  Secondary Duties & Responsibilities

  • To monitor maintenance contracts to ensure service standards are consistently met and contractual requirements are fulfilled.
  • Coordinate with vendors for preventive and corrective maintenance programmes to ensure equipment reliability and availability.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor, based on the operational needs of the Care Home.

  Requirements

  • Candidates with a Diploma, good O-Level qualifications, or Higher NITEC qualifications may be considered.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in store, warehouse, or inventory operations.
  • Able to work in a warehouse or store environment.
  • Physically fit and able to handle manual work, including lifting, carrying, and bending.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office; experience with SAP systems will be an advantage.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively, with a positive working attitude.
