What they need

About the Role
This is not your typical administration role.

As an Operations Support team member, you'll play a key role in keeping our Carpet Court and Curtain Studio operations running smoothly across the Canterbury region. Working closely with customers, installers and internal teams, you'll coordinate installation schedules, manage workflow and ensure every job progresses efficiently from booking through to completion.

You'll be the link between our customers, installation teams and sales teams, ensuring clear communication, accurate scheduling and an exceptional customer experience every step of the way.

This is a varied role combining operations coordination, scheduling, customer service and administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys staying organised, solving problems and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

This is a permanent full-time position based at our Christchurch Warehouse, working Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate installation schedules across Carpet Court and Curtain Studio.
  • Book and confirm installation appointments with customers.
  • Manage installer workloads to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.
  • Monitor jobs from booking through to completion, maintaining accurate system updates throughout.
  • Prepare documentation and materials for upcoming installations.
  • Liaise with customers, installers, suppliers and internal teams to keep projects on track.
  • Complete invoicing, operational reporting and job administration.
  • Coordinate remedial work and support the prompt resolution of customer concerns.
  • Support installer onboarding and maintain accurate operational records.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the wider branch team.

You Will Have

  • Previous experience in administration, scheduling, customer service or operational coordination.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work independently.
  • A genuine commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with customers, installers and colleagues.

Experience within the flooring, window furnishings or construction industries would be advantageous, but isn't essential, we're happy to train the right person.

What We Offer

  • A varied role where no two days are the same.
  • Full training and ongoing support from an experienced team.
  • A supportive and collaborative working environment.
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities.
  • Staff purchasing benefits across our brands.
  • The opportunity to join New Zealand's largest flooring and window furnishings network.

If you're an organised people person who enjoys keeping operations running smoothly and delivering exceptional customer experiences, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now with your CV and cover letter. Please note you must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand to be considered for this position.
