Operations Team Lead

The Team Lead is responsible for directly guiding and supporting a team of Logistics Coordinators, ensuring daily tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with client expectations, operational procedures, and service-level requirements.

This role serves as the primary point of contact for coordinators regarding daily workflows, shipment issues, task prioritization, and operational support. The Team Lead monitors individual performance, provides coaching, and escalates complex issues to the Logistics Operations Supervisor when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily activities and workload of assigned Logistics Coordinators.
• Monitor shipment tracking, follow-ups, documentation, system updates, and task completion.
• Ensure coordinators meet productivity targets, deadlines, and established service levels.
• Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and feedback to team members.
• Assist coordinators in resolving shipment delays, tracking discrepancies, and routine operational issues.
• Review work quality and identify errors, process gaps, or opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor attendance, task distribution, and daily team performance.
• Escalate complex operational issues, recurring performance concerns, and client-related risks to the Supervisor.
• Communicate operational updates, priorities, and process changes to the team.
• Support the onboarding and training of new Logistics Coordinators.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
• At least 1 year of experience in a senior coordinator, team lead, or similar leadership role.
• Strong understanding of shipment coordination, tracking, documentation, and logistics workflows.
• Experience monitoring productivity, quality, and operational KPIs.
• Strong English proficiency, both written and verbal.
• Excellent communication, coaching, organization, and problem-solving skills.
