Operations Technician

About the role

FILOIL GAS and ENERGY COMPANY, INC. is seeking an Operations Technician to join our warehousing, storage and distribution operations in Tondo, Manila City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position offering a strategic opportunity to support the efficient functioning of our logistics and storage facilities. The Operations Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence across our warehouse and distribution networks, ensuring that our energy products are stored, handled and distributed safely and efficiently. This position reports to the Operations Manager and serves as a key contributor to our supply chain success.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts, loading systems and storage infrastructure, performing routine maintenance and reporting defects
• Oversee inventory management processes, including receiving, storing, organising and dispatching energy products in accordance with safety standards and company procedures
• Conduct regular safety inspections of the warehouse facility and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
• Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, product movements and stock rotations
• Coordinate with delivery teams to ensure timely and accurate loading and unloading of products
• Maintain detailed records of warehouse operations, including inventory logs, maintenance reports and incident documentation
• Assist in training and supervising warehouse staff on proper handling procedures and safety protocols
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies within the warehouse and distribution operations
• Support the implementation of company policies and procedures to ensure consistent operational standards

What we're looking for

• Secondary or tertiary education with a focus on logistics, warehouse management or a related technical field
• Proven experience working in a warehouse, storage or distribution environment, preferably within the energy, fuel or manufacturing sectors
• Technical proficiency with warehouse management systems and inventory tracking software
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance requirements in warehouse operations
• Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with experience in coordinating with diverse teams
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending and standing for extended periods
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and a proactive approach to hazard identification
• Preferred experience with energy product handling or hazardous material storage and distribution
