- Boiler Operations: Start up, run and shut down boilers and auxiliary units (like pumps, fans, and de-aerators) safely.
- Parameter Monitoring: Watch steam pressure, temperature, water levels, and fuel combustion system, feed water system, via gauges or control panels.
- Water & Fuel Management: Oversee feed water quality, chemical dosing, water treatment, and fuel consumption ratio.
- System Operations: Start up, safely operate, and shut down high-pressure boilers, steam turbines, and related valves or pumps.
- Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine inspections, test safety devices like low-water cut-offs, and clear equipment blockages.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate shift logs, record malfunctions, and report maintenance needs.
