Operator (Coating Utility)

About the role

This role involves performing sandblasting of coating equipment and tooling, removing dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces. You will set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment, prepare evaporation materials, and maintain the sandblasting area while adhering to all work instructions, standard procedures, cleanliness and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform sandblasting of coating equipment and tooling
• Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces
• Set up and operate a blast booth or similar equipment
• Prepare evaporation materials and maintain the sandblasting area
• Perform all duties, work instructions and standard procedures
• Comply with cleanliness and safety requirements

Working condition

• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shift including weekend and public holiday
• Comfortable to work in a clean room environment
• High noise level and continuous standing and bending
• Some chemical exposure
• Handle radioactive material (ThF₄) NEA R1 license required
• Required to wear tight-fit respirator when necessary and follow safety rules
