Operator cum Fitter

We are looking for an experienced Operator cum Fitter to handle screw conveyor operations, routine machine maintenance, and mechanical fitting activities at our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of industrial machinery, material handling systems, and basic mechanical troubleshooting to ensure smooth and uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor screw conveyor systems for efficient material transportation within the plant.
• Ensure proper functioning of screw conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and related mechanical equipment.
• Perform routine inspection of machinery and identify mechanical faults, abnormal noise, vibration, or other operational issues.
• Carry out fitting, installation, alignment, and minor repair work on mechanical components.
• Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize machine downtime.
• Check conveyor components for wear and tear and coordinate replacement or repair when required.
• Support plant operations by ensuring continuous and efficient material movement.
• Follow maintenance schedules and report equipment-related issues to the concerned supervisor.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and the work area in proper condition.
• Follow all plant safety guidelines while operating and maintaining machinery.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to resolve operational problems.
• Maintain basic records of machine inspections, maintenance activities, and breakdowns.

Candidate Requirements

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant technical trade.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial machine operation, mechanical fitting, or maintenance.
• Practical experience in screw conveyor operation is preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical components, bearings, gearboxes, motors, and conveyor systems.
• Ability to identify basic mechanical faults and perform troubleshooting.
• Willingness to work at a manufacturing plant and support routine maintenance activities.
• Candidates residing in Karambeli or nearby locations will be given preference.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
