Operator I – 2nd Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking Operator I candidates for a 2nd shift manufacturing position in a cleanroom environment. This role is responsible for producing high-quality medical device components and assemblies while following established procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, comfortable performing repetitive hands-on work, and able to work with small components under a microscope.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, repair, and testing operations on medical device components and assemblies.
• Follow standardized work instructions, procedures, and verbal directions.
• Maintain strict compliance with quality and safety requirements.
• Accurately complete written and electronic documentation to ensure product traceability.
• Work with small components and parts under a microscope for extended periods.
• Perform repetitive tasks including grabbing, pinching, pulling, and twisting.
• Communicate ideas, problems, and solutions clearly with team members and supervisors.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with internal and external customers.
• Follow all cleanroom, gowning, safety, and manufacturing requirements.
• Stand or sit for extended periods while performing production activities.

Preferred Experience

• Manual assembly of medical devices or other precision products.
• Assembly and use of hand tools under a microscope.
• Hand soldering experience.
• Previous cleanroom or regulated manufacturing experience.
• Experience maintaining written and electronic production documentation.
• Experience working with small or delicate components.

• Manufacturing, assembly, medical device, electronics, or cleanroom experience is a plus.

Cleanroom Dress & Gowning Requirements

Candidates must be able to comply with strict cleanroom requirements, including:

• Wear clean, non-shedding clothing free of frayed hems, loose threads, tassels, glitter, sequins, fleece, or loose-knit materials.
• Wear closed-toe and closed-heel shoes with heels no higher than 2 inches.
• Socks or stockings are required.
• No sandals, clogs, slippers, or shoes that expose the toes or heel.
• Pants and other clothing must provide appropriate coverage.
• No nail polish, acrylic, artificial nails, or similar nail coatings.
• Jewelry and body piercings must be removable or fully covered as required.
• Makeup is not permitted in production areas.
• Clothing and personal items must comply with all cleanroom and safety requirements.
• Head coverings required for personal or religious reasons must comply with cleanroom gowning requirements.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on manufacturing position in a regulated cleanroom environment. Employees must follow all applicable safety, quality, documentation, and contamination-control procedures.

Pay: $19.00 - $19.75 per hour
