Operator (Mechanical Assembly)

What you'll be doing

• Operating mechanical assembly machinery and equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and technical specifications
• Setting up and adjusting equipment parameters to ensure optimal performance and product quality
• Performing routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on assigned machinery
• Inspecting assembled components and finished products for defects, ensuring compliance with quality standards
• Recording production data, equipment performance metrics and any issues encountered during operation
• Adhering to all health, safety and environmental regulations within the production facility
• Collaborating with team members and supervisors to resolve operational challenges and improve efficiency
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and suggesting enhancements to assembly processes

What we're looking for

• Proven experience operating mechanical assembly machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Technical competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and assembly instructions
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
• Knowledge of basic mechanical principles and equipment maintenance procedures
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently and within a team
• Ability to work safely and comply with workplace health and safety protocols
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
• Preferred: Certification in machinery operation or mechanical assembly processes
• Preferred: Experience with CNC or automated assembly systems
• Preferred: Previous experience in a precision manufacturing or industrial automation setting
