About the role

PT Oriental Textile Indonesia is seeking a skilled Machine Operator - Centrifugal/Selenger to join our manufacturing operations team. This is a full-time position based in Cipeundeuy, West Bandung, West Java. As a Machine Operator, you will play a vital role in our textile manufacturing process, operating and maintaining centrifugal and selenger machinery to ensure optimal production quality and output. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and commitment to safety will directly impact our production efficiency and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Operate centrifugal and selenger machines in accordance with established production schedules and quality standards
• Monitor machine performance and output throughout shift operations, identifying and reporting any malfunctions or irregularities
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of assigned machinery to ensure proper functioning and longevity
• Adjust machine settings and parameters based on production requirements and quality specifications
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure adherence to quality control standards
• Document production data, machine hours, and any operational issues in maintenance logs
• Troubleshoot minor technical problems and perform basic repairs under supervision
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Follow all standard operating procedures and safety protocols at all times
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines

What we're looking for

• Proven experience operating centrifugal and/or selenger machinery in a textile or manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of machine operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting techniques
• Technical knowledge of textile production processes and quality standards
• Attention to detail with the ability to identify quality issues and defects
• Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods
• Reliable attendance record and punctuality
• Ability to work shifts, including early mornings, afternoons, and potentially overtime as required
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety practices
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills for recording production data
• Team player mentality with the ability to take direction from supervisors
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or textile facility is highly preferred
