Operator - Secondary process

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operator - Secondary Process to join the manufacturing team at Industri Nikkoplas. This is a full-time position based in Tampoi, Johor. As a Secondary Process Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production operations, ensuring that secondary manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently. Your work will directly contribute to the quality of our products and the overall success of our manufacturing operations. This position requires a proactive individual who can maintain focus on precision and safety whilst operating complex machinery and monitoring production quality.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor secondary processing machinery and equipment in accordance with production specifications and standard operating procedures
• Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance and cleaning to ensure machinery operates at optimal performance levels
• Monitor product quality throughout the secondary process and conduct quality checks at designated intervals
• Record production data, machine performance metrics and any operational issues in the designated system or log sheets
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic adjustments to resolve operational problems
• Follow all health, safety and environmental protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment
• Coordinate with other operators and production supervisors to ensure seamless workflow and meet production targets
• Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns or quality issues to the production supervisor immediately
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safe working conditions and operational efficiency

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or production environment
• Familiarity with secondary processing operations, such as trimming, finishing, packaging or similar processes
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, technical drawings and production schedules
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high quality standards
• Basic mechanical understanding and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
• Willingness to follow safety protocols and adhere to company procedures
• Physical capability to perform the duties of the role, including standing for extended periods and lifting items where necessary
• Preferred: Experience with injection moulding, plastic processing or related manufacturing sectors
