Role Description The Õpetaja (Teacher) is a full-time, on-site role located in Tallinn. In this position, the teacher plans, delivers, and evaluates lessons that support students’ academic progress and personal development. Daily tasks include preparing teaching materials, instructing students in accordance with curriculum guidelines, assessing learning outcomes, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher collaborates with colleagues, supports inclusive learning environments, communicates regularly with families or guardians, and participates in school-wide activities and professional development. The role also involves contributing to the school community by promoting positive behavior, wellbeing, and engagement among students.

Qualifications

• Relevant pedagogical education and teaching qualification, preferably in accordance with Estonian educational standards.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver structured, student-centered lessons and assess learning outcomes effectively.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, colleagues, and families.
• Proficiency in relevant languages (e.g., Estonian and English) appropriate for the teaching context.
• Comfort with basic digital tools and educational technologies to support teaching and learning.
• Commitment to continuous professional development, openness to new teaching methods, and alignment with the City of Tallinn’s values.
• Previous experience in teaching or educational work is an advantage.
