Job Description:
As an Ophthalmic Technician in our Intermediate and Advanced roles , you will play a vital role in our patient-oriented team, working closely with our medical services staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include performing various ophthalmic tests to capture accurate and quality images for our physicians. Additionally, effective and professional communication with team members at all levels is essential in this role.

Intermediate Technician + Scribe : $24-27.99

Minimum Requirements:

• Previous experience as an Ophthalmic Technician and Scribe
• Basic understanding of contacts
• Basic imaging (OCT, Optos)
• Stereo
• Color plates
• Retinoscopy/Refinement
• Pachymetry
• Advanced imaging (Topo, Pentacam, Lenstar)
• Goldman/Tonopen
• Skilled in contacts
• Instrument handling & laser safety
• Must be able to meet quality and productivity metrics associated with this intermediate tier.
• Certification is not required; however, an additional $1.00/hour is provided for COA and/or COT certification.

Advanced Technician/Scribe $28-32.95

Minimum Requirements:

• Previous experience as an Ophthalmic Technician and Scribe
• COA and/or COT certification
• Mentor and train all staff in lower tiers
• Understanding of contacts
• Basic imaging (OCT, Optos)
• Stereo
• Color plates
• Retinoscopy/Refinement
• Pachymetry
• Advanced imaging (Topo, Pentacam, Lenstar)
• Goldman/Tonopen
• Skilled in contacts
• Instrument handling & laser safety
• Must be able to meet quality and productivity metrics associated with this advanced tier
