Ophthalmic Technician/Scribe - Experienced

If you were to accept this position, your mission would be:

• Interview patients, recording medical history and medication in our Electronic Health Records software.
• Conduct patient work-ups including measuring vision, Tonometry, pupil assesment, Dilation, confrontation visual fields, and extra-ocular motility.
• Perform the following diagnostic tests: OCT, IOL Master, Visual Field, Autorefraction and Topography.
• Answer patient questions, address concerns, follow up questions and/or refer patient questions to providers as appropriate.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include:

• Ability to maintain patient flow and communication regarding appointment status.
• Knowledge of ocular terminology, diseases and the abbreviations.
• Proficiency with computers is a necessary skill as all of our charts are electronic.
• Detail oriented
• Multitasking and time management skills
• Strong customer service skills, with a focus on respect and compassion.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient records.
• Scribe experiance a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
