𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲: Ophthalmology Advisor

Fruit Street Health is seeking experienced ophthalmologists to serve as Ophthalmology Advisors. This role is ideal for physicians with expertise in comprehensive ophthalmology, cataract surgery, glaucoma, retina, cornea, refractive surgery, diabetic eye disease, ocular imaging, teleophthalmology, digital health, artificial intelligence, or healthcare innovation.

As an Ophthalmology Advisor, you will provide clinical, operational, and strategic insight to help Fruit Street Health enhance its digital health platform and evaluate new opportunities related to vision care, chronic disease management, artificial intelligence, remote patient monitoring, and preventive healthcare. This is a flexible, remote advisory opportunity for ophthalmologists who are passionate about improving patient access, clinical outcomes, healthcare technology, and innovation.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

• Provide clinical and strategic guidance on initiatives related to ophthalmology, diabetic eye disease, retinal health, glaucoma, cataracts, teleophthalmology, ocular imaging, digital health, artificial intelligence, and preventive vision care.

• Advise Fruit Street Health on clinical workflows, physician adoption, patient engagement, healthcare technology integration, and opportunities to improve virtual care delivery.

• Support the evaluation of new products, partnerships, AI applications, remote monitoring solutions, and digital tools relevant to ophthalmology and chronic disease management.

• Share industry insight and subject matter expertise regarding ophthalmology practice operations, healthcare technology, regulatory trends, reimbursement, and emerging innovations.

• Participate in periodic advisory discussions and provide practical recommendations based on your clinical and operational experience.

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

• MD or DO with experience practicing ophthalmology.

• Board certification or board eligibility in ophthalmology preferred.

• Experience in comprehensive ophthalmology, cataract surgery, retina, glaucoma, cornea, diabetic eye disease, ocular imaging, telemedicine, digital health, healthcare AI, clinical leadership, or healthcare innovation preferred.

• Strong understanding of ophthalmology workflows, patient care pathways, physician adoption, digital technologies, and real-world barriers to healthcare innovation.

• Ability to commit approximately 2–4 hours per month to advisory board participation and strategic advisory activities.

This Ophthalmology Advisor role offers the opportunity to receive equity compensation in Fruit Street Health based on advisory contributions. Advisors may also have opportunities to support strategic initiatives, product development, clinical innovation, research collaborations, and future growth opportunities within the company.
