Are you approachable, organised, and eager to learn a rewarding new skill? We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Optical Assistant to join our reputable practice.
In this role, you’ll work alongside our close-knit team of Optometrists and Optical Assistants to deliver exceptional care to our clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable healthcare and technical experience in a supportive, friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care: Provide exceptional customer service, guiding patients through their eye care journey and making them feel welcome.
Pre-Screening: Perform initial checks prior to a client’s sight test using our modern pre-test optical equipment.
Frame Styling & Repairs: Assist clients with frame selection, fittings, adjustments, and minor repairs.

Skills

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in optical assistant, customer service, retail, administration, or a healthcare setting is a plus.
• A friendly, approachable demeanour with excellent communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
• A positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability and flexibility to help cover when needed.
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy related to eyes and vision health or willing to learn
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
• Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and work efficiently in a busy environment
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning about optical products and eye care services

Pay: £23,420.00-£36,520.00 per year
