Part-Time Optical Assistant – Parker Opticians, Bolsover
3 days per week

Parker Opticians is a friendly, independent opticians in Bolsover, committed to providing personal service and excellent patient care. We’re looking for an approachable, enthusiastic Optical Assistant to join our team for 3 days a week.

As an independent practice, we take time to get to know our patients, helping them feel welcome and confident in their eyewear choices. You’ll be joining a supportive team where a caring approach and a willingness to learn are valued.

Optical experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming patients and booking appointments.
• Helping patients choose frames and discussing suitable lens options.
• Supporting pre-screening and the smooth running of clinics.
• Arranging spectacle collections and carrying out adjustments and minor repairs following training.
• Answering telephone enquiries and maintaining accurate patient records.
• Keeping the practice welcoming, tidy and well presented.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Keen to learn and develop new skills.

Previous experience in optics, retail or customer service would be an advantage, but your attitude and enthusiasm are just as important.
