Optical Field Engineer (DWDM / Ciena)

We are hiring Optical Field Installers across the USA for candidates with experience in DWDM / Ciena equipment installation for telecom network projects, supporting deployments for Tier-1 product company Ciena (USA).

Role: Optical Field Engineer (DWDM / Ciena)

Duration: Full Time (with benefits)

Note: Please note that this role requires 90% travel across multiple locations in the US. Candidates must be based in one of the locations listed above.

Key Responsibilities

• Install Ciena or DWDM equipment at customer sites
• Perform rack installation, grounding, power cabling, and fiber patching
• Conduct fiber testing using OTDR / BER tools
• Coordinate with remote engineering teams for network turn-up and testing
• Support site acceptance and handover

Required Skills

• Experience with fiber testing tools (OTDR)
• Knowledge of rack layouts, cabling, and telecom site installations
• Experience with OEM equipment such as Nokia, Ciena, Infinera, Cisco, Juniper, ADVA (preferred)
• Willingness to travel extensively

• The per diem for food is 35$, which can vary based on location.
