Optical Sales Assistant

Optical Assistant – Pop Specs, Touchwood

Part-Time Positions Available

Do you love people, fashion and doing things a little differently? Pop Specs is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Optical Assistant to join our kiosk in Solihull.

At Pop Specs, we can make glasses in as little as 20 minutes — so you’ll be part of the whole customer journey, from helping someone choose their perfect funky frames to handing them their finished glasses!

What you’ll be doing

• Welcoming customers and guiding them through their Pop Specs experience.
• Helping customers choose frames that suit their style, personality and prescription.
• Taking accurate optical measurements.
• Helping customers understand their prescription and the options available.
• Preparing and making glasses, with the opportunity to learn lens glazing and lab skills.
• Fitting and adjusting frames so they’re comfortable and sit correctly.
• Presenting the finished glasses to the customer
• Keeping the kiosk fun, welcoming and looking fantastic.

No lab experience? No problem!

Previous optical or lab experience is preferred, but it’s not essential. We’re happy to teach you the skills you need, what matters most is that you’re friendly, confident, practical and excited to learn.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll get to work directly with customers, learn optical skills and be involved in making their glasses from start to finish.

If you’re looking for an optical role that’s fast-paced, creative and a little bit different, come and join the Pop Specs team!
