Optical Sales Assistant

The Optical Sales Assistant is responsible for assisting customers in selecting suitable eyewear, including spectacles, sunglasses, frames, and lenses. The role involves providing excellent customer service, supporting sales activities, maintaining product displays, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the optical store.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and understand their eyewear needs, preferences, and budget.
• Assist customers in selecting suitable spectacle frames, sunglasses, and optical lenses.
• Explain product features, lens options, coatings, and pricing.
• Support sales activities and achieve assigned sales targets.
• Coordinate with optometrists for prescriptions, measurements, and customer requirements.
• Assist with frame fitting, adjustments, and basic eyewear maintenance within the scope of training.
• Prepare sales invoices, process payments, and maintain accurate billing records.
• Follow up on spectacle orders, deliveries, repairs, and customer enquiries.
• Maintain proper stock levels and assist with inventory management.
• Keep the showroom clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate technical issues when required.
• Maintain good customer relationships and encourage repeat business.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum qualification: Plus Two / Higher Secondary; a diploma in opticianry is an advantage. )
• Experience ; 0-2 years of experience
• Previous experience in optical retail or sales is preferred.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of spectacle frames, lenses, and sunglasses.
• Sales-oriented attitude with the ability to meet targets.
• Basic computer, billing, and inventory management skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a professional appearance.
• Willingness to learn about optical products and new lens technologies.

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
