Optician - Apprentice

Saturday hours are required. **You must complete the required screenings to be
considered for this position.

We are a growing Eye Care practice that is looking for a candidate who desires a career
in the Optometry field. We are looking for applicants that have an ability and eagerness to learn quickly, with a warm, friendly personality and be health and wellness oriented.
S/he should possess an extreme attention to detail, be organized, have very strong
basic math skills and a professional appearance and demeanor.
Additional skills include having a background in sales or retail and able to speak
conversational Spanish.

The job responsibilities for this position include helping patients with eyewear selection,ordering, fitting, and repair of eyewear, insurance verification and billing, patient education, pre-testing, scribing, contact lens training, answering phones and scheduling patients.

Experienced Optician/Front Desk Receptionist

Spanish speaking is a plus.

Qualifications/Requirements
 Mature, well spoken, extreme attention to detail, health & wellness oriented,
stable, professional appearance and demeanor. Spanish speaking desired and
is a big plus.

Skills needed: the ability to learn technical material quickly and translate that
knowledge into direct, easily understandable communication to the patient. Organized
and very detail oriented.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
