About Makar Eyecare. We are an Alaskan-owned, established and growing practice with 11 doctors, 1 Nurse Practitioner, and a rapidly growing Optical Department.

We combine comprehensive medical eye care with an exceptional optical experience, offering our patients high-quality, advanced lens technologies, and personalized solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalized sales, styling, and consultations
• Help patients select frames that complement their prescription, lifestyle, facial features, and personal style
• Educate patients about lens options, materials, coatings, and advanced vision solutions
• Measure, fit, adjust, and dispense eyewear accurately
• Perform minor frame repairs and troubleshooting
• Accurately process orders
• Maintain accurate patient information
• Follow orders through the dispensing process and ensure accuracy
• Address and resolve optical questions and patient concerns professionally
• Work closely with doctors and other team members to provide a seamless patient experience
• Maintain an organized, clean, and inviting optical environment
• Deliver a personalized, high-level patient experience
