Optician

Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and motivated Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about eyewear, enjoys working with patients, and is committed to providing excellent customer service.

As an Optician, you will help patients select frames and lenses, take measurements, assist with eyewear orders, and ensure patients have a positive experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and other optical products
• Take accurate measurements
• Explain lens options, coatings, materials, and eyewear features
• Prepare and process eyewear orders
• Verify prescriptions and ensure orders are accurate
• Adjust and fit eyeglasses for patients
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong patient relationships
• Communicate with optical laboratories and vendors as needed
• Maintain an organized and professional optical area
• Handle sales transactions and assist with insurance billing when applicable
• Follow company policies and maintain patient confidentiality
• Assist with doctor in any areas needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Optician preferred
• Optical industry experience required or strongly preferred
• ABO certification is a plus
• Strong knowledge of frames, lenses, and optical products
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Detail-oriented and able to work accurately
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 32.0 per week
