Job Overview (must be able to do Wednesdays and Thursdays 3-7 pm)

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting eyewear that fits their style, needs, and prescription requirements
• Conduct thorough eye exams and interpret prescriptions using medical terminology accurately
• Measure and fit frames precisely, ensuring comfort and optimal vision correction
• Provide detailed explanations of lens options, coatings, and optical features to educate clients
• Manage laboratory processes for lens cutting, fitting, and adjustments to ensure quality standards
• Maintain accurate records of patient prescriptions, sales transactions, and inventory
• Support retail sales efforts by promoting eyewear products and accessories to meet sales targets

Requirements

• Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye health and vision care
• Laboratory experience with lens fitting, edging, or related optical procedures preferred
• Prior optical experience in a retail or clinical setting is highly desirable
• Strong sales skills with a focus on delivering excellent customer service in a retail environment
• Familiarity with Epic or comparable electronic health record systems is a plus
• Experience in retail management or supervising teams is advantageous but not mandatory
• Ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and build rapport with diverse customers

Pay: $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 20.0 per week
