Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated , Experienced Optician who blends high-level technical expertise with a deep passion for luxury fashion and styling. As the face of our boutique floor, you will guide our clients through a highly personalized, white-glove styling experience. The ideal candidate has strong optical knowledge, a proven track record in sales, and a natural ability to build long-term relationships with clientele.

Duties

• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that best suit their needs and preferences.
• Conduct fittings and adjustments of eyewear to ensure proper fit and comfort.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including prescriptions and eyewear orders.
• Utilize systems for managing inventory and processing sales transactions.
• Provide education to patients regarding proper care of eyewear and contact lenses.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Stay updated on the latest optical technologies, trends, and products to provide informed recommendations.
• Handle medical billing processes as needed, ensuring accuracy in patient accounts.

Experience
Candidates should possess a strong background in optical services or retail management. Experience in the following areas is preferred:

• Knowledge of VSP billing preferred
• Familiarity with retail math principles for effective sales transactions.
• Understanding of physiology as it relates to eye health.
• Previous experience in a clinic or retail environment is highly desirable.
• Skills in customer service, with an emphasis on building rapport with patients.
• Proficiency in utilizing various systems for inventory management and patient record keeping.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
