Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optician to join our independently owned optometry practice with locations in Cottage Grove, MN, and Prescott, WI. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while assisting patients with eyewear selection, fitting, and adjustments. This role requires excellent multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment and a strong attention to detail. Duties

• Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting patients with their eyewear needs.
• Dispense spectacle lenses accurately according to prescriptions and patient requirements.
• Fit and adjust eyewear frames to ensure comfort and proper alignment.
• Perform eyewear frame adjustments as needed to maintain optimal fit.
• Educate patients on lens options, frame styles, and proper eyewear care.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized.
• Collaborate with the optometry team to ensure patient satisfaction and efficient workflow.
• Multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment while paying close attention to details.

Experience

• Prior experience as an optician or in a similar customer service role within an optical or healthcare setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
• Strong attention to detail is critical for dispensing lenses and adjusting eyewear accurately.
• Exceptional communication skills and a friendly demeanor are necessary to provide top-tier customer service.
• Ability to work flexible schedules that accommodate both locations’ hours while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 – 40.0 per week
