Optician

We are seeking a part-time or full-time team member. Hours are flexible between Monday and Saturday.

Duties will include:

• Advising patients on frame weights, materials, styles, and colors
• Recommending lenses, coatings, and frames to suit customers' needs
• Measuring customers to determine suitable types and styles of frames
• Adjusting and repairing eyeglass frames to fit properly
• Preparing orders for glasses and contact lenses by checking prescriptions, lens thickness, and other specifications
• Making sure that orders for glasses and contact lenses are processed accurately
• Assisting office as needed with scheduling appointments, answering phones, and other clerical duties.

Experience:

We are willing to train the right individual. Applicants with previous sales and/or medical office experience are encouraged to apply.

Wages will depend on experience. Along with the hourly wages, opticians will be eligible for a sales commission after 3 months of employment.
