Optician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting patients with their eyewear needs. As an Optician, you will be responsible for fitting, adjusting, and dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses, ensuring that each patient receives personalized care tailored to their specific requirements.

Duties

• Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their prescriptions and personal preferences.
• Measure patients' facial features to ensure proper fit of eyeglasses and contact lenses.
• Provide education on eyewear maintenance and care, as well as proper lens usage.
• Process orders for eyewear, including managing inventory and coordinating with suppliers.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in optical technology and retail sales strategies to enhance customer experience.
• Multi-task efficiently and effectively
• Be comfortable with computerized technology.
• Be a self-starter.
• Possess excellent phone/communication skills.
• Be detail oriented.
• Have the desire to grow a business.
• Available to work 1 Saturday a month.

Skills

• Strong background in retail sales, with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Optical experience is preferred
• Familiarity with medical billing processes and systems related to optical services.
• Be proficient with software. REVOLUTION EHR helpful but not required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Basic knowledge of ophthalmology and optical principles is preferred.
• Familiarity with physiology as it pertains to eye health can enhance patient interactions.
• Ability to work effectively in a clinic environment while maintaining a professional demeanor.
