Optician - Full Time

We’re Hiring an Optician!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Greeting patients and providing exceptional customer service
• Understanding and explaining insurance benefits
• Assisting with optical sales and frame styling
• Dispensing and adjusting glasses
• Repairing glasses and performing hands-on optical work
• Processing eyewear orders accurately
• Inspecting completed orders for quality and accuracy
• Maintaining detailed patient information using electronic health records
• Ensuring each patient’s optical needs are handled with care
• Communicating professionally by phone with patients, optical labs, and frame vendors
• Maintaining and organizing inventory of frames and other optical products

Requirements:

• At least one year of optometry or optical experience is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• A desire to learn, excel, and grow with our practice

We are looking for a positive, dependable, and outgoing person to join our busy team of optometric professionals. Previous experience is not required, although it is always a plus. We are happy to provide thorough training to the right candidate.

Applicants must be comfortable working with computers, providing direct patient care, and presenting themselves in a friendly and professional manner.

Schedule:

Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Hours may vary depending on scheduling needs.
