OPTICIAN / OPTICAL ASSOCIATE

Full-Time Position | Optician License Not Required

Calgary Family Eye Doctors is looking for an experienced, outgoing optical professional to join our busy optical team.

The right candidate will be someone who combines strong optical knowledge with a genuine love of eyewear, fashion, luxury brands and sales.

An Optician license is not required; however, previous optical experience is required.

What we are looking for:

• Strong experience in optical dispensing
• Excellent frame adjustment and fitting skills
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including resolving fit, lens and vision concerns
• Experience and confidence working with prism prescriptions
• Ability to take accurate optical measurements
• Strong attention to detail

Luxury Eyewear & Sales
Our optical is an important part of the patient experience. We are looking for someone who appreciates beautiful eyewear and understands the experience that comes with purchasing premium and luxury products.

Previous experience working with luxury or premium eyewear brands is highly valued. You should genuinely enjoy sales, fashion, follow eyewear trends and feel comfortable helping patients select frames that suit their features, personal style and lifestyle.

Additional Responsibilities
As part of a collaborative clinic environment, the role also includes greeting and checking in patients, answering phones, booking appointments, payment processing, insurance billing and other patient care related administrative duties.

Experience with Visual Eyes is an asset but not required.
