Optician Sales Technician - Frames

The Optician Sales Technician is responsible for driving exceptional patient experiences, maintaining inventory and laboratory quality standards, and supporting the optical team with any and all frame or vendor related information. This role serves as a subject matter expert in optical lens technology, frame merchandising, inventory management, and quality assurance while ensuring operational efficiency, profitability, and compliance with industry standards.

Essential Functions

1. Provides a friendly and warm greeting to all, including patients, providers, and guests.

2. Answers inbound calls to the office for questions, payments, or scheduling.

3. Develop and execute annual, seasonal, and promotional frame purchasing strategies.

• Analyze clinic demographics, patient preferences, and insurance participation to optimize frame selection and inventory mix.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with frame vendors and manufacturer representatives.
• Negotiate pricing, discounts, promotions, and purchasing terms to maximize profitability.
• Evaluate and recommend new frame lines based on trends, patient demand, and business objectives.
• Coordinate and manage trunk shows, vendor events, and promotional activities or delegate as needed.
• Oversee frame inventory levels, replenishment processes, and inventory accuracy.

10. Maintain attractive and effective frame merchandising through strategic board presentation and product rotation.

11. Preform Optician job duties in coordination with scheduling, and provide a positive patient experience.

12. Other duties as assigned.
