Optician/Customer Service

Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Optician, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional eye care services and eyewear solutions. As an Optician, you will assist with eyewear fittings, lens dispensing, and maintaining a welcoming environment that promotes health and well-being. Your contributions will directly impact patients' vision and confidence while supporting compliance with health regulation policies and confidentiality standards.

Duties

• Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear frames and lenses based on prescriptions, lifestyle needs, and personal preferences
• Dispense spectacle lenses accurately, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and comfort through eyewear adjustments
• Conduct comprehensive eyewear fittings and educate patients on lens options, frame care, and maintenance
• Manage patient records using EMR/EHR systems, ensuring clinical confidentiality policies are strictly followed
• Handle retail sales transactions using POS systems and cash registers while providing excellent customer service

Experience

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse patient populations including pediatrics and senior care clients
• Basic math skills for retail transactions, optical measurements, and prescription calculations are essential
• Demonstrated understanding of clinic experience, medical records management, and aseptic techniques contributes to a safe and efficient practice environment

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18.0 – 20.0 per week
