Optician/Eyewear Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses based on their prescription and personal preferences.
• Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit of eyewear.
• Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and other enhancements to improve vision and meet their specific needs.
• Adjust and repair eyewear as needed, including frame adjustments, lens replacements, and minor repairs.
• Maintain inventory of eyewear, contact lenses, and accessories, ensuring availability of popular styles and brands.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in eyewear fashion and technology to provide informed recommendations to customers.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as an optician or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of eyewear products, lens options, and optical terminology.
• Familiarity with vision insurance plans and billing procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in using computer systems for inventory management and sales transactions.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
