Responsibilities

Optician

• Assist customers with the selection of spectacles, frames and lenses.
• Interpret prescriptions and recommend suitable lens options based on customer needs.
• Take measurements and perform spectacle fitting and adjustments.
• Conduct basic fitting, repair and maintenance of spectacles.
• Assist with contact lens sales and provide basic usage and care guidance where qualified.
• Explain optical products, lens features and aftercare services to customers.

Optometrist

• Conduct eye examinations, vision assessments and basic eye health checks.
• Assess customers’ visual needs and provide appropriate recommendations.
• Prescribe suitable spectacles and contact lenses where applicable.
• Recommend suitable lenses, frames and optical products based on customers’ requirements.
• Explain the exam.
• Perform contact lens fitting and provide guidance on proper usage and care.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Optometry/Opticianry or equivalent qualification are welcome to apply.

• Registered with the Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB); pre-registered candidates are welcome to apply.

• Able to work weekends and public holidays according to retail schedule.
