Business Improvement and Delivery Lead - Auckland Transport

We’re looking for an experienced Business Improvement & Delivery Lead to help improve operational performance, customer outcomes and organisational effectiveness across Auckland Transport.

Working in partnership with business leaders and teams, this role applies continuous improvement, structured problem-solving, change management and project delivery disciplines to identify opportunities, develop practical solutions and implement sustainable improvements across people, processes and systems.

Success is achieved through the delivery of measurable outcomes, sustainable change and increased capability within teams to continuously improve performance and ways of working.

In this role you will be:

• Partnering with business teams to identify improvement opportunities
• Leading business improvement, change and delivery initiatives from concept through to implementation and benefit realisation.
• Applying structured problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques to understand issues and identify practical solutions.
• Using data and insights to support decision-making, prioritisation and solution design.
• Improving processes, customer journeys, systems and ways of working.
• Delivering and supporting adoption of technology-enabled change across people, processes and systems
• Developing business cases, recommendations and implementation plans
• Facilitating collaboration across business units, delivery partners and stakeholders to achieve agreed outcomes.

We’re looking for someone who can confidently work across business improvement, change and delivery, combining strong problem-solving skills with a practical, outcomes-focused approach.

• A tertiary qualification in business, commerce, project management or related discipline
• Formal qualification in project management or change management
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification

Desired:

• Agile, CX or service design qualification
• Demonstrated experience leading business improvement, change or delivery initiatives in a complex environment.
• Experience delivering outcomes across people, process and technology.
• Experience in continuous improvement, technology-enabled change delivery, and transport, infrastructure or public sector environments will be highly regarded.
