• Identification of Optimisation opportunities across all category platforms.
• Conducting feasibility assessments on optimisation ideas to prioritise and scope projects for development.
• Project Management of Optimisation projects from business case to delivery. What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?
• COGS reduction, ESG and process optimisation and complexity management are key drivers in terms of loss elimination to reduce overall product cost and ESG impacts and ensure simpler and faster processes are available. Accountabilities
• Managing Optimisation projects to deliver the projects on time, cost, and quality according to the defined project principles.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure that centrally driven New Categories (NC) Operations optimisation initiatives are captured and tracked.
• Establish cross functional project teams engaging with the relevant disciplines and securing the resources required to deliver the project.
• Responsible for championing projects through standard project management process ensuring clear, actionable, plans and milestones are set and all relevant protocols and documents are completed prior to submission for gate decisions.
• Conducting scoping and feasibility reviews to ensure that project plans are achievable and aligned to business operational plans.
• Effectively managing risks and issues with plans to mitigate or escalate as appropriate
• Ensuring alignment and coordination of all associated dependant local projects in the different geographies (regions and markets)
• Establish benefits tracker mechanisms for all projects to ensure savings are delivered at or above Company Plan (CoPlan) assumptions.

New Opportunities

• Constantly review spend data, ESG / LCAs, menu cards, dashboards, other data sources and work with different stakeholder groups to identify optimisation opportunities (Price, source, specifications).
• Working with the Project Custodian to build an appropriate business case for optimisation projects
• Work with NC stakeholders, service providers and suppliers to build commitment to optimisation projects and identify issues and opportunities to improve
• Support the Optimisation Manager - NC to enhance our processes and ways of working together with building a high performing team. Experience, Skills, Knowledge

Essential Experience Required

• Understanding of end-to-end production and materials management processes.
• Project Management experience in FMCG / New Categories
• Working knowledge of category products / BoM / production processes
• Experience working within cross-functional teams Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
• End to end project management from idea generation to delivery.
• Demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence stakeholders across multiple business functions.
• Knowledge of problem-solving techniques and strategies, including root cause analysis, 8D, 5Why, PDCA methodologies
• Strong Leadership of technical, scientific or specialist teams
• Business focused and proven change agent with project management skills (preferably in a Prince II environment). Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
• Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant area
