Key Responsibilities

As an Optometric Assistant, you will play an important role in creating an exceptional patient experience by:

• Greeting patients with professionalism and warmth
• Managing front desk responsibilities, including appointment scheduling, answering phones, insurance verification, and payment processing
• Performing preliminary testing, including OCT, visual field testing, retinal imaging, and other diagnostic procedures
• Teaching patients proper contact lens insertion, removal, and care
• Assisting patients with frame selection and educating them on lens options and coatings
• Recommending eyewear solutions that meet each patient's visual needs and lifestyle
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Ensuring the clinic and optical boutique remain clean, organized, and welcoming

The ideal candidate is friendly, confident, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of optical experience (required)
• Previous experience with optical sales and frame styling
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills
• Professional, polished, and dependable
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Comfortable learning new technology and working with electronic medical records
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a collaborative team
