Optometric Assistant

We are a small Optometry office conveniently located 2 minutes from Canada Line station (Broadway-City Hall). We are looking for a new long-term Medical Office Assistant to join our team! We strive to provide the best patient care and customer service and our new team member will be tasked with upholding our 5-star reputation. Experience as an MOA is preferred; we are willing to provide training to the ideal candidate.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Excellent patient communication skills
• Fluency in written and verbal English
• Great time management and organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Willingness to learn some new technical skills around the office
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Able to work with minimum supervision and is pro-active
• Have basic knowledge of office software (ex. Microsoft Word, PDF viewer, Ring Central, email, etc)
• Experience with Optosys is an asset
• Ability to speak a second language is an asset
• Previous experience in eye care or MOA training is preferred

Dailies duties include:

• Patient scheduling
• Answering phone calls
• Greeting incoming patients in a professional and pleasant manner
• Pre-testing patients and moving them to exam rooms
• Assisting your colleagues with tasks as needed

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
