Optometric Assistant

This is a part time position [25 hrs per week] in a private practice, full scope Optometric setting. 9am - 4pm M-T-Th-F [No Wednesdays or Weekends or Nights]

Responsibilities include patient reception, scheduling patient appointments, gathering computerized health and eye insurance coverage and authorizations, and coordinating patient follow up and testing appointments.

Candidates must have proven experience in performing detailed tasks efficiently and accurately.. This position is multifaceted and can be fast paced. Proven ability to multitask is essential. Strong written and verbal skills a must.

While we provide comprehensive job training and support, we expect the applicant to display full effort and attention to the mastery of these skills.

Ideally, we seek an individual with some flexibility in their schedule and hours in order to be able to cover for coworkers as they would cover for the applicant in return.

This is intended to be a long term position. Pay commensurate with experience. Associate degree preferred, applicable experience considered.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
