Duties

• Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk with professionalism and efficiency
• Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records
• Assist patients with completing necessary paperwork and gather medical history to support clinical assessments
• Prepare exam rooms, assist optometrists during eye examinations, and handle optical equipment with care
• Manage patient flow by coordinating appointments and follow-up visits to optimize clinic efficiency
• Process payments, handle retail sales of eyewear and accessories, and promote available optical products and services
• Maintain organized records of patient interactions, test results, and treatment plans in electronic medical records systems

Skills

• Previous experience in a medical office setting
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care and communication
• Ability to multitask efficiently at the front desk while supporting clinical staff during exams
• Experience with optical sales, or retail environment
• Familiarity with medical procedures related to optometry and pediatric eye care is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
