Optometric Technician

Responsibilities:

• Assist optometrist with patient examinations and procedures
• Perform preliminary tests and gather patient medical history
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Handle front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and checking patients in and out
• Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care
• Assist with frame selection and dispensing of eyewear
• Provide exceptional customer service to all patients

Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
• Basic understanding of retail math for sales transactions
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
