We are seeking a Full-Time Optometric Technician to assist our eye care professionals and guide patients through their exam experience. Whether you already have a background in eye care or medical assisting, or are looking to transition into a rewarding new field, we welcome your application! We are fully prepared to provide comprehensive on-the-job training for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Intake & Pre-Testing: Welcoming patients, recording medical histories, and performing preliminary diagnostic testing (visual acuity, autorefraction, tonometry, visual field testing, and retinal imaging).
• Clinical Support: Assisting the Optometrists during patient examinations and procedures to ensure smooth clinical flow.
• Equipment & Room Care: Sanitizing exam lanes and diagnostic equipment between patient visits; maintaining clean and organized clinical areas.
• Administrative & EHR Tasks: Accurately documenting patient information in electronic health records (EHR) and working closely with the front desk team for seamless patient experience.

Qualifications

• Personality & Attitude: Personable, empathetic, welcoming, and possessing a strong customer-service mindset.
• Growth Orientation: Highly motivated, eager to learn new clinical techniques, and interested in the eye care field.
• Experience: Prior experience in eye care, medical assisting, or customer-facing roles is a plus, but not required—the right attitude and willingness to learn are what matter most!
• Communication Skills: Clear verbal communication skills and a comfortable demeanor when speaking with patients of all ages.
• Technical Aptitude: Comfort using computers, digital diagnostic equipment, and electronic medical record systems.
• Reliability: High dependability, teamwork-oriented approach, and strong organizational skills.
