Optometric Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the daily operations of our optometry clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient confidentiality and care.

Responsibilities

• Assist optometrists during eye examinations by preparing patients and conducting preliminary tests.
• Perform various clinical tasks, including managing medical records and ensuring accurate documentation.
• Handle medical billing and coding for insurance claims while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the clinic and optical areas.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient clinic operations and outstanding patient experiences.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Optometric Technician or in a similar healthcare role is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical billing, coding, and insurance processes is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic practices and procedures is a plus.
• Proficiency in managing medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A passion for providing excellent patient care and support.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
