Eye Clinic North is growing, and we are looking to add another technician to our team!

Join a high-tech, fast-paced optometric practice where you will have the opportunity to develop valuable clinical skills and build a long-term career in eye care. Previous eye care or medical experience is welcome, but we are also willing to train the right person.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, personable, dependable, a fast learner, and a strong team member. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, learning new skills, and staying busy throughout the day.

Eye Clinic North invests heavily in staff education and advancement. We provide, coach, and pay for home-study coursework and professional certifications for our employees, including:

• Certified Paraoptometric (CPO)
• Certified Paraoptometric Assistant (CPOA)
• Certified Paraoptometric Technician (CPOT)

Compensation & Advancement

Starting compensation is based on previous directly relevant experience, training, and certifications. Applicants with optometric, ophthalmic, nursing, medical assisting, or other applicable clinical experience may qualify for a higher starting wage.

Eye Clinic North provides and pays for additional training and paraoptometric certification coursework. Employees receive scheduled wage increases as they complete training and advance in their roles.

What Our Technicians Do

Our technicians work directly with patients and providers, performing patient workups, assisting with testing and procedures, and operating advanced diagnostic equipment.

Eye Clinic North offers a broad range of specialty services, giving our technicians opportunities to develop skills beyond those found in many traditional eye care practices. These services include:

• Advanced diagnostic imaging and testing
• Dry eye evaluation and treatment
• IPL and radiofrequency treatments
• Specialty contact lenses
• Low vision services
• Assistance with in-office periocular lesion procedures
• Pre- and post-operative patient care

As technicians gain experience, they have opportunities to become highly cross-trained throughout the practice and take on increasingly advanced responsibilities.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Has strong communication and customer service skills
• Is comfortable with computers and technology
• Can multitask effectively in a busy clinical environment
• Is motivated to continue learning and advancing through home-study coursework and certification

Previous optometric or ophthalmic technician experience is preferred but not required. Applicants with other medical experience—including nursing, medical assisting, or other technician positions—are strongly encouraged to apply.

Schedule & Benefits

Full-time position

Monday–Thursday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM–4:00 PM

Starting wage is negotiable based on previous optometric, ophthalmic, medical, technician, or related experience.
