True Sight Vision Care is a growing, independently owned optometry practice in Bristol, Connecticut, and we're looking for a friendly, motivated, and dependable Optometric Technician to join our team!

We pride ourselves on providing exceptional patient care in a welcoming, team-oriented environment. Our practice offers comprehensive eye care, advanced diagnostic technology, and specialized services, including dry eye treatments, myopia management, and medical eye care.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in helping patients have a great experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient pre-testing and obtain medical and ocular histories.
• Conduct diagnostic testing, including OCT, visual fields, retinal imaging, and other testing as needed.
• Assist doctors with patient examinations and clinical procedures.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
• Educate patients on testing, procedures, and treatment recommendations.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain clinical equipment.
• Assist with contact lens training and patient education.
• Work closely with doctors and team members to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Provide a friendly, professional, and compassionate patient experience.

Qualifications

• Previous optometric or ophthalmic technician experience preferred.
• Experience with diagnostic equipment and electronic health records is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy clinical environment.
• Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.

Experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right candidate who has a great attitude and a passion for patient care!
