Optometric Technician

Responsibilities:

• Perform preliminary testing on patients, including taking medical history and measuring visual acuity
• Assist with contact lens fittings and adjustments
• Conduct diagnostic tests, such as tonometry and visual field testing
• Prepare patients for examination by the optometrist
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Handle front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information
• Ensure that all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained

Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients and colleagues
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
