Optometric Technician

Private optometry practice in Tempe is seeking a dependable and personable Part-Time Seasonal Optometric Technician to join our team.

The ideal candidate has a positive demeanor, exceptional customer service skills, and is reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working directly with patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Previous optical, optometry, or healthcare office experience is a plus, but we are willing to provide on-the-job training for the right candidate.

Position Details

• Part-time, seasonal position
• 2–3 days per week
• Additional hours may be available for staff coverage as needed
• Opportunity to transition into a permanent part-time position based on practice needs and employee performance
• Daytime office hours, Monday through Friday
• No weekends
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsibilities Include

• Performing patient pre-testing/entrance testing
• Greeting and checking patients in and out
• Answering phones and providing excellent patient service
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Verifying vision insurance benefits, including VSP and EyeMed
• Assisting with opening and closing procedures
• Maintaining clean and organized patient and office areas
• Providing general back-office and administrative support as needed
