Optometric Technician - Part Time

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform preliminary tests such as visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, retinal imaging, field test, auto refractor, NCT, and lensometry
• Educate patients on proper eye care and contact lens use.
• Maintain patient records and charts using EHR system.
• Assist with insertion and removal contact lens courses for patients
• Prepare and maintain an organized exam room, keeping contact lens trials up-to-date, and ensuring cleanliness for our equipment

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, filing paperwork, collecting payments, annual exam outreach, and contact lens follow ups
• Help with collecting, entering and verifying insurance information

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

• Ideally Optometry Experience (but not required)
• Quick learner
• Attention to detail
• Comfort with medical equipment
• Comfort with learning computer software to maintain patient records
• Adaptability
• Works well on a team
