Optometric/Ophthalmic Technician - Part Time

We are a busy, patient-focused private practice looking for a reliable Ophthalmic or Optometric Technician to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced medical environment and wants to make a direct impact on patient care. Medical background is highly encouraged.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and assist with phone calls, including scheduling appointments
• Perform pre-testing on patients (visual acuity, visual fields, tonometry, etc.)
• Verify and update patient information in electronic health records (EHR)
• Order contact lenses and manage patient contact lens needs
• Educate and instruct patients on proper contact lens insertion, removal, and care
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the contact lens area and exam rooms/lanes
• Stock exam lanes and restock supplies as needed
• Assist with closing procedures, including taking out trash

Hours: Part-time (20–28 hours per week). May lead to Full time if position opens. Weekdays only.

Qualifications:

Experience as an ophthalmic/optometric technician is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate

• Medical or customer service background is a strong plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented attitude

Compensation: Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
