Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Optometrist to join our growing private practice. We are a full-scope, medically focused practice committed to providing comprehensive eye care, with an emphasis on ocular disease management, preventative care, and building long-term relationships with our patients.

This is an excellent opportunity for an optometrist who enjoys practicing to the full extent of their license, working independently while collaborating with a supportive clinical team, and having the time and resources to provide exceptional patient care.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide comprehensive eye examinations with medical eye care, as well as routine exams and contact lens fittings
• Diagnose, manage, and co-manage ocular disease and systemic conditions affecting the eyes
• Evaluate and treat conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, dry eye, infections, and other anterior and posterior segment conditions
• Perform and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing
• Manage urgent and acute eye conditions
• Provide pre- and post-operative care and co-management when appropriate
• Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients about their ocular and systemic health
• Build lasting relationships with patients through excellent communication and continuity of care

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school
• Current and valid New York state optometry license
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
• Spanish speaking is a plus but not required

Compensation:

Starting with $85.00 per hour PLUS daily bonuses.
